2023 Foothill High School Contributors Campaign

Donate to Foothill High School and join the pto!

The Foothill Education Foundation and the PTO are excited to kick off our annual Contributors Campaign and PTO Membership Drive. This campaign is the primary fund raising event for Foothill High School and we need your help to reach our goal of $50,000!

Every dollar donated by families and community members is a dollar spent to improve the education and campus experience for our students, teachers, and administration.

Your contribution, regardless of the amount, provides the tools to make learning come alive for each and every student.

From the $40 tax-deductible donation that buys books for classrooms to the $1,000 donation that helps pay for the dissection of fetal pigs for every Biology student or our school-wide tutoring, EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR STUDENT!   Your donation to the Ed Fund and PTO will help provide these important items and fill many other education gaps caused by reduced academic funding.

 The impact that Foothill's Ed Fund has had on our campus and the student community is invaluable. Over my 15 years as a staff member and 4 years as a student at Foothill who benefitted from Ed Fund's support, I have seen first-hand how the FEF has supplemented instruction and campus culture for all Foothill students. From the purchase of fetal pigs for science experiments to weight room equipment to spirit wear for incoming students, there is nothing the Foothill Ed Fund won’t do to ensure that all knights are getting the most out of their high school experience. CONTRIBUTORS CAMPAIGN SUPPORTS our knights… BUT IT HAS ITS PERKS, TOO!

As we work to provide students with the best education possible, we also want YOU to feel more connected to Foothill. From regular communications from our parent groups to admission to all home games— we’ve got you covered!

Every donation is important, but those made at $40 or more have added benefits! All donors that make a minimum donation of $40 will receive a 2023-24 PTO membership.

Additionally, higher levels have added perks like an FHS color decal or spirit surprises!

Knight Card

What is the Knight Card? Foothill Knight Cards are given out to donors that donate $250+ for the school year. A Knight Card gets you ONE FREE adult admission to all home games, Theater Arts events, and Choral events. Because Theater Arts and Choral events have limited seating space, Knight Cards must be presented at the time of ticket purchase. Boosters and directors will have additional information, so be sure to check with them if you have questions! If you donate at the Knight Champion level or higher, you will receive TWO Knight Cards which will get your TWO FREE admissions to home games, Theater Arts events, and Choral events.

Lifetime Knight Donors

Lifetime Knight Donor status is awarded when your cumulative Contributors Campaign and other applicable past and present cash donations reach $7500. 

Lifetime Donors are recognized with an 8” x 8” plaque on the Lifetime Donor Wall. These plaques are installed yearly in June. Additionally, Lifetime Donor’s plaques will receive a recognition corner for each additional cumulative donation of $2000.

Corporate Matching Programs

Double Your Donation! Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. To find out if your company offers matching gifts, search your company’s website or contact your human resources department. Educational Materials and Resources

Fetal Pigs for Biology dissection, headsets for World Language to facilitate speaking practice and assessment; fiction and non-fiction texts in English classes to facilitate student reading of high interest contemporary yet academically rigorous texts; teacher training

student Wellness

Planned renovation of space in the FHS library to create a student-centered area designed and dedicated to support student wellness;   “Every 15 Minutes” program which focuses on driving while drunk, personal safety, and the responsibility of making mature decisions; Student Wellness Center and garden

Student support

Knights for Knowledge tutoring program with tutors available to every student; vital technology subscriptions like Peardeck, NoRedInk, and ActivelyLearn; Link Crew; Knights in Progress; Peer Tutoring Programs

Visual and Performing arts

A new Vibraphone for instrumental music; a second potter’s wheel for ceramics program; 2020 Theater Arts production of Grease; Professional LED Lighting for Visual Arts performances

Campus Safety

5 new megaphones to be used during an emergency; 10 advanced radios with farther reach for campus safety; upgrades to campus emergency backpacks that are used in emergencies

Your Donations Impact Our Students…

 The FHS ED Fund has been incredibly generous in supporting different programs at Foothill that I oversaw. When I was department chair of the English Department, the Ed Fund graciously provided teachers the necessary financial resources to build classroom libraries full of high-interest books, both fiction and nonfiction, a donation that positively affected nearly 100% of FHS students. As the IB Coordinator, the Ed Fund has sponsored numerous educators at trainings for curriculum changes or to learn new instructional strategies they can bring back to the classroom to benefit countless students. As advisor to our FHS Mock Trial program, I knew that Ed Fund would always support our program by helping to fund our team registration fees for a program that helped hundreds of students over the last six years develop public speaking, analytical, and legal reasoning skills, even leading to multiple students attending law school and becoming practicing attorneys. Whatever the need, the FHS Ed Fund always found a way to help enrich the academic and extracurricular lives of all students.
